2. OPENING PRAYER: Carolyn Hurt opened in prayer.

5. MILITARY UPDATE:
Keith Churchill: Returned from Iraq on September 7th. Welcome home Keith. Keith is Flo Boyd’s grandson.
Chris Crank: Carol and Logan heard from Chris last week. Logan shared various information he found on the Internet regarding the 2nd Infantry Division.
Jesse Emmons: Jesse is completing 2 weeks of Field Training. He will be coming home from Fort Benning on October 19th and will have 15 days leave before he is deployed to Korea.
Rick Hurt: Rick is now stationed at Fort Lewis after completing a tour in Iraq. He is so thankful to be back on American soil. Carolyn and her sister were blessed in attending Rick’s homecoming at Fort Lewis, WA. this month.
Scott Gill: After a long and drawn out year serving our Country in Iraq, Major Scott R. Gill is now back in Ft. Sill, OK. with his family. And with that great news we all say praise the Lord. Scott left here a year ago asking that we pray that he as the commander of the 1-14 Field Artillery would bring home every single soldier in his group. Scott is praising God tonight and thanking all of you for your prayers that he would be able to do that. So as of Wednesday, September 26th at approximately 10:30pm, he and his 163 men landed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma ALL OF THEM safe and sound. What a miracle and answer to prayer that he was able to return them all to their families unharmed. Thank you Jesus and thank you Dayspring and the YRSG for your prayers and support during this time.
6. NEWS:
Pledge of Allegiance: Marcia shared that she has wanted to open each meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Beginning October 4th, the meetings will begin in front of the YRSG Wall with the pledge and end at the Wall praying for our Troops.

Also, thank you Marcia for knitting so many scarves that were also sold during the bake sale. Of course Thank You to everyone who baked their special desserts. All the proceeds will go towards postage for sending care packages to our men and women serving our country around the world.
